Name Julia is a PhD student in Aerospace Engineering. She began her studies at Georgia Tech pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering in fall 2007 and began research in the combustion lab in Spring 2010. As an undergraduate, Julia's research from Spring 2010-Spring 2011 was on the effect of temperature ratio on bluff body wakes, which became the topic for her undergraduate thesis. She has spent Fall 2011 and Spring 2012 designing a full-scale, high-pressure test rig to study flame stability and emissions of low swirl burners and high hydrogen fuels.

In her spare time, Julia enjoys photography and cooking.

Current research

Julia's current research is centered on studying turbulent flame speeds.
